The RIMAGE monochrome thermal disc printer uses a black ribbon to print onto CD and DVD –
The ribbon rolls over the disc surface whilst heat is applied to transfer the ink from ribbon to disc.
The thermal Rimage is a direct-to-disc print and the resolution is 300 dpi (dots per inch).
The Rimage can print onto either a silver or white, which is slightly more costly than silver disc surface – it is best for text & logos.
